Windows 7 now offers a new personalization option for fans of the most lovable green ogre that made it to the big screen.The “Shrek Forever After” is served through the Windows Personalization Gallery, and is bound to be a collaboration between the Redmond company and Dreamworks, although neither of the two announced anything officially.
The 14 new wallpapers that are packaged into the Windows 7 Shrek Forever After Theme are different than the official backgrounds offered through Shrek.com. “After challenging a dragon, rescuing a princess, and saving a kingdom, what’s an ogre to do? Ogre-ize your desktop with this Shrek theme for Windows 7—and get a sneak peek at Shrek Forever After, coming to theaters in June,” reads the description of the Shrek theme provided by Microsoft.
The Windows Personalization Gallery features a roster of brands, including Coca Cola, Pepsi, Ferrari, Ducati, Infiniti, etc. which have taken advantage of the opportunity offered by the software giant. Fans of the Shrek movies can now ogre-ize their Windows 7 desktops by downloading and installing the theme while they wait for the premiere.
